• Rugby Ramblers go on a 10 mile walk around the Limestone Dales of the Peak District, meet at 8am at the Orchard Centre, Lower Hillmorton Road, telephone 575948.
• Bilton Scout Group car wash day, from 10am, Bilton Social Club, £5 per car, proceeds to scout's Canadian Expedition in July 2009.
• Plant & Craft Sale at Lawrence Sheriff School, Clifton Road, Rugby from 10am to 1pm, sale of plants, gardening equipment, local crafts, refreshments and raffle. Admission free.
• The Percival Guildhouse Annual Plant Sale at the Guildhouse from 10am to 12,30pm, plus raffle and refreshments.
Sunday May 18
• Rugby Ramblers go on an eight mile walk around South Newington and Great Tew, meet at 9am in Barby Road, telephone 578733.
• Grand Village Garage Sale at Lilbourne Village Hall from 12 noon to 4pm, this annual event includes 15-20 houses around the village plus several stalls, refreshments, toilets and car park at the Village Hall. Admission by map, 25p, available at the village hall.
Tuesday May 20
• Senior citizens roast lunch, Manor Farm Shop and Tearoom in Catthorpe, noon, all home made and using meat from the farm and local vegetables, held every Tuesday.
• Stretton on Dunsmore History Society are visiting Kilsby for a historical walkabout.
Wednesday May 21
• Rugby Ramblers go on a four mile evening walk around Yelvertoft, meet at 7pm in High Street, near the Knightley Arms, telephone 574976.
Thursday May 22
Rugby Ramblers go on a seven mile walk around Watford village, meet at 9am in Sainsbury's car park, telephone 890011.
• Ullesthorpe WI will be leading a walk, meet at 10am for 10.30am at The Chequers Country Inn, order your lunch for your return, everyone welcome, including dogs!
• The Rugby Decorative & Fine Art Society welcomes Professor Neil Kent on Dreams of a Summer’s Night: Turn of the Century Scandinavian Art 1880-1940 at The Benn Hall, Rugby from 7.30pm.
Saturday May 24
• The British Cactus and Succulent Society will be holding a three day exhibition at Coombe Abbey Country Park from 10am to 5pm, along with extensive plant sales.
Sunday, May 25
• Picnic In The Park, Millennium Green, Craven Road, Rugby, 2pm to 5pm, games and a bouncy castle will be there for under 12s, light refreshments will be provided but people can take their own picnics and blankets. Organised by Benn's Friends.
Saturday May 31
• Rugby Male Voice Choir with Special Guests Summer Concert at St John's Avenue, Hillmorton, tickets £6, £5 conc available on the door. Half of ticket receipt will go to Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.

• Free fun day at Manor Farm Shop, Catthorpe, arts and crafts, bouncy castle, tastings, animals, machinery and farm tours (book in advance), all proceeds from the raffle will go to Swinford and Clifton primary schools, telephone Caroline on 07766756316.

• St Peter's Church, Claybrooke Parva will be holding their annual fete and strawberry tea in the grounds between 3.30pm and 5.30pm, stalls and activities.

Saturday June 14
• Summer tabletop sale, Age Concern Warwickshire, Claremont Centre, Clifton Road, Rugby, 10am until 1pm, selling old and new goods, the cafe will be open serving snacks and beveridges. All proceeds to the Claremont .
• St Leonard's Church Fete, Priors Marston at 2pm in the grounds of The Hermitage, Vicarage Lane, a wide variety of stalls, games, including cakes, bottles, books, plants, coconuts, skittles, raffle, pony rides, tennis and much more, Live music by the highly acclaimed Towcester Studio Brass Band and a fancy dress competition, homemade refreshments available. Admission adults £1 children 50p.
Saturday June 21
• Rugby Philharmonic Choir invite you to come and sing or just listen to Handel's Messiah at Rugby Baptists Church, Regent Place, Rugby rehearsal between 2pm and 5pm, please brick your own musical score, concert doors open to all at 7pm.

• Friends of Paddox School annual Summer Fete, 1pm to 3pm, Paddox School Oak site. Attractions include bouncy castles, welly wanging, beat the goalie, Pimms tent, art sale, tombola. Entrance is free.
