    Lutterworth Ramblers go on an evening walk around Leire with the opporunity for a pub meal at the end, meet at 6pm at the Queens Arms in Leire, call John Whitehead on 01455 554345.

    Thursday, June 18
    Rugby School of Art End of Year Show, Lower Hillmorton Road, Rugby, opening night, 6.30pm to 8.30pm. Runs until Saturday, June 27.
    National Childbirth Trust Cheeky Monkey Tea Party, 10.30am to noon, Dunchurch Village Hall, parents and young children are invited to join in the fun and browse stalls including Truly Julry Jewellery and Phoenix Cards, also sing and sign taster.
    Rugby Organ and Keyboard Society present Sarah Foley playing a Yamaha at the LMRCA club on Hillmorton Road at 8pm, tickets cost £5, contact 01788 812247 or 561203.

    Rare appearance by the Consortium Big Jazz Band at the Railway Club, Hillmorton Road, proceeds in aid of Rugby Multiple Sclerosis Society, tickets £10 per person including a buffet supper, to book call 01788 537841.

    Newbold Village Fete, St Botolph's Church, light lunches served from 1pm, refreshments all afternoon, stalls open 1.30pm and include raffle, tombola, beat the goalie, hook a duck and many more.

    Dadfest, St Matthew's Church, Warwick Street, Rugby, 10.30am, celebrating men and dads with video clips, talk, music and refreshments, also a special programme of activities for children.
    Church Lawford Village Fete, 2.3pm start, proceeds to village charities. Fete will be followed by a Songs of Praise event at 5pm.
    Cycle Ride in aid of The Myton Hospices, a 27 circular ride starting from the Rugby Myton Hospice on Barby Road, riders must be 16 or over, call 01926 838809.

    Natural Living Fair, Broughton Astley Village Hall, 10am to 3pm, in aid of Radio Lutterworth, jewellery, crystals, natural beauty products, organic produce and plants, free yoga class and refexology demonstrations, stalls £10 each, entry £1, children free, call 01455 284312.
    Birdingbury Country Festival, also on Sunday, July 12, car parks open on both days at 10am, admission is £5 per adult, senior citizens and children £2 with under 5s free. Proceeds from this years event will be divided between the National Autistic Society, the Down's Syndrome Association, St Leonards Church and our village amenity fund.
    Cotesbach Festival at Cotesbach Hall, six piece original rootsy dub fusion band Endless Knot to play at 6pm.
