HINCKLEY and Rugby Building Society is one of the best mortgage providers in the UK, according to a national search to find the leading players and products in the financial services industry.
The society - which has a branch on North Street in the town centre - was named Best Flexible Mortgage Provider at the Moneyfacts Awards 2008.
It was also nominated in the Best Variable Rate Mortgage Provider category.
Chief executive Chris White said: "We are delighted to have won such a prestigious honour from Moneyfacts, which recognises our ongoing commitment to providing simple, competitive, quality mortgage products to our customers."
Winners were presented with their awards at The Brewery in London last month.
Moneyfacts Awards recognise the most consistent products on offer over the previous year and are seen as a real benchmark for excellence.
Lee Tillcock, editor of Moneyfacts financial magazine, said: "Once again we have seen a record turnout, proving the importance banks, building societies and other financial providers place on winning one of these awards, especially in such challenging times."
