A SOLUTION has been reached to concerns over the admissions policies of Rugby's grammar schools - it is one that will not please everyone.
There is an argument that Rugby's schools should be for Rugby's children, but the parents of children who live a little outside the borough boundary have made a strong case that that amounts to discrimination.
It has been said that a patient is now free to choose which hospital they have surgery at regardless of where they live so why should the rules be any different when it comes to schools?
There should a choice when it comes to choosing a school, but parents in Rugby should also know that if they want to send their child to one of the town's grammars school that there is a place for them.
