A STAR of the UK wrestling scene is coming to town with UK champion Saul Adams set to appear in Rugby next month.

The Wrestling Association of Rugby's best will be pitted against the champ at a night of high flying, body slamming combat on Saturday March 2 for the Championship Showdown event.

Saul Adams said: "Lots of the WAR guys are making big splashes all over the UK and as the UK’s heavyweight champion I need to challenge myself against the best. That’s why I’m coming.

Featuring on the night are some of WAR's best including Blue Thunder, The Bird of Prey Falcon, Xander Cooper and The Spindoctor.

Five bouts will be contested on the night, including title defences by WAR's current champions and the opportunity to face Saul Adams for the UK title.

Spokesman Stuart Platt said: "This promises to be a great night of quality wrestling action that you will not want to miss."

Other regulars including The Executioner, Red Tiger, Chris Ocean and Andy Poole will appear at the show, to be held once again at Lawrence Sheriff School on Clifton Road.

Tickets cost £6 adults, £5 under 15s and £18 for a family of two adults and two children. Doors open at 6.30pm with the first bout starting at 7pm.

Call 07795 621740 or by email tickets@waruk.co.uk for tickets.
