A HORSE rider was airlifted to hospital after a fall near Hillmorton on Sunday (January 13).
The 31-year-old woman was thrown from her horse around midday and was suffering from pelvic and back pain.
A spokeswoman from Warwickshire and Northampton Air Ambulance (WNAA) said: "The WNAA crew administered pain relief and applied a pelvic splint in order to hold the pelvis together and maintain circulation in case of a break. They then immobilised her and flew her to University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire for further assessment and treatment."
Equestrian incidents made up nearly one in ten of all rescue missions attended by WNAA in last year.
