Police name man found dead on railway line

POLICE have named the man found dead on the railway line in Church Lawford on Christmas Eve as Martin Leeson.

Mr Leeson was 34-years-old and lived in Longstork Road in Coton Park.

He was found dead on the railway line off Coronation Road on Christmas Eve at 10.15am. Paramedics were sent to the scene to try and help Mr Leeson.

A West Midlands ambulance service spokesman said: "Unfortunately, it quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save the person found at the scene."

An inquest has been opened and adjourned.
