Flood warnings remain across Rugby

FLOOD warnings remain in place in parts of Rugby this morning (Friday).

The Environment Agency continues to issue warnings for the River Avon at Little Lawford, including Little Lawford Lane, Wolston, including Hawthorne Close, St Margaret's Avenue and Main Street, and Bretford.

A further warning was issued for the River Leam at Marton.

Flooding has also been reported on land between Brownsover and Clifton, on the A428 in Church Lawford where the road underneath the railway bridge was completely flooded, and on Barby Lane.

One school in the borough has been forced to close, with Leamington Hastings C of E Infants hit by electrical faults as a result of flooding.
