A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of arson after a major factory fire near Coventry Airport.
The 48-year-old was arrested shortly before 10am this morning (Thursday) in connection with last night's blaze at engineering firm Ney Ltd in Siskin Drive, near Coventry Airport.
Police are treating it as suspicious but say the cause remains unclear.
The road will remain closed today while emergency services remain at the scene and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
Smoke from the blaze could be seen for miles away from Rugby, as well as from Leamington and across Coventry.
Anyone with information aiding the investigation should call Coventry police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
