Kiernan is out in front

DAVE Kiernan triumphed in perfect conditions as Rugby RCC held a ten-mile time-trial on the K11/10B course between Daventry and Dunchurch.

Finishing in 20-49, Kiernan averaged almost 29mph on his new bike to finish 11 seconds ahead of Tim Hastie but still 32 seconds off James Heaton's course record which was set three years ago.

There were contrasting fortunes for husband and wife duo Rob Robson and Colette Marshall with the latter taking 90 seconds off her PB for another win in the handicap category whilst the former's derailleur broke away from the frame, locking his rear wheel.
