UNIQUE aerial shots of Rugby snapped 90 years ago have been unveiled to the public for the first time.

Photographs of the town and borough taken from the skies in the 1920s and 1930s have been released as part of the Britain from Above project.

The photographs appear alongside more than 15,000 images of what have been called the earliest and most significant collections of aerial photography in the UK.

Historic shots including St Cross Hospital, Rugby School and the Portland Cement Works make up the collection, along with photos of the town centre, showing how much has changed over the years.
