FIREFIGHTERS have spent the night at the scene of a factory blaze near Coventry Airport.

They were called to Ney Ltd on Siskin Drive just off the A45 near Coventry Airport shortly after 5pm on Wednesday.

A huge plume of smoke could be seen from Rugby, Leamington and across Coventry, and at its height 75 firefighters were tackling the flames.

Ney Ltd describes itself as Britain'’s leading independent distributor of woodworking machines and woodworking materials, supplying manufacturers of furniture.

It is yet not known what sparked the flames.
