MORTIMER has much on his mind in black comedy Arsenic and Old Lace at Kenilworth's Talisman Theatre from July 9 to 14.
Drama critic Mortimer Brewster discovers that his beloved maiden aunts, Abby and Martha, are homicidal maniacs, and that insanity does not just run in the family - it practically gallops.
The bodies, baddies, police and crooks pile up in the auntie’s house while Mortimer agonises over whether to marry his fiancée and the evening progresses to its climax.
The play also contains scenes cut from the Cary Grant film - including Mortimer’s lunatic brother, Jonathan, and his personal plastic surgeon, Doctor Einstein.
Tickets are available from the box office on 01926 856548 and cost £6 (Monday), £8 (Tuesday to Thursday), and £8.50 on Friday and Saturday.
Visit www.talismantheatre.co.uk or call the box office on 01926 856548 for tickets and further details.
