SPECTACULAR celebrations in the town helped Rugbeians celebrate Her Majesty The Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
On Saturday (June 2) a commemorative parade of service and ex-personnel, civic dignitaries, young people and community groups was led through the town centre to the clock tower for the unveiling of a plaque to mark the occasion.
Crowds gathered to watch the procession make its way from Gas Street to the clock tower where it was rounded off by the firing of confetti canons and a spectacular fly past of historic aircraft.
The action then moved to Caldecott Park for an afternoon of live music, a funfair, stalls and games.
Observer photographer Neville Collins was there to capture the parade making its way through town.
