A DOUBLE decker bus crashed into a front garden after the driver fell ill at the wheel and left the road.
Police were called to Wentworth Road yesterday (Wednesday) at around 6pm to find the bus had collided with the garage and a garden wall. It did not hit the house.
The driver of the bus - which had no passengers at the time - is believed to have taken ill at the wheel and was taken to University Hospital in Coventry for treatment after suffering minor injuries in the crash.
Stagecoach marketing manager Chris Child said: "We can confirm one of our vehicles was involved in an incident in which it made contact with the front wall of a house yesterday in Wentworth Road. However, nobody was injured as a result of the incident.
"Safety is our absolute priority and we will now investigate the circumstances of the incident as a matter of priority, we can however confirm there was no issue with the vehicle."
