Kiernan ends Hastie's winning run

By Jamie Arrowsmith 08/05 Updated: 14/05 12:01

DAVE Kiernan proved the man to end Tim Hastie's winning run as Rugby RCC held a ten-mile time-trial on the K11/10B Braunston course.

Kiernan overcame cold and windy conditions to take victory in 21-49, finishing 23 seconds ahead of Hastie and 61 seconds ahead of Craig McKee in third.

Despite the boost of the downhill start the Braunston course does not produce the expected fast times.

The improving Gary Howes won the handicap in 18-35 but Matt Jones still leads the handicap table.
