GARAGE star Katy B will perform at Rugby Library on June 6 in the latest Get it Loud in Libraries series of concerts
The singer, currently the current UK queen of dupstep, released her debut album Katy on a Mission last year. As well as enjoying her own chart success, she has supported Tinie Tempah and has collaborated with producer Mark Ronson to create a song for an Olympics advertisement.
Get It Loud In Libraries was originally created in 2005 to engage young people with libraries through live music, and Rugby has already welcomed the likes of Plan B, The Crookes and Spark.
Paul MacDermott of Warwickshire Libraries, said: “In Warwickshire, we are looking to develop an audience of young people who are traditionally harder to engage and this is a wonderful opportunity to do so. With the variety of activities on offer, libraries are becoming cultural hubs for all sections of the community and all age ranges.”
Tickets for Katy B are £16.50, available from http://katyonamission.com or www.seetickets.com, or directly from the Little Elborrow Street library.
