Hi: 24° Lo:12° 7 day

A YOUNG woman out walking her dogs was bitten on the hand by an animal believed to be a stray Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
The 18-year-old was out with her two pets walking along the old railway line near Newton Manor Lane in Brownsover when she was attacked, at around 7.20pm on Saturday (May 26).
It happened when the other dog - which is thought to have been a Staffordshire Bull Terrier without an owner - appeared and became aggressive towards her two pets.
When she tried to break them up she was bitten on the hand and had to be treated at the scene by a paramedic. She was not taken to hospital.
A man at the scene grabbed the stray dog, but it managed to run away and has not been found.
The police have been made aware of the incident.
