Hastie is back on top

TIM Hastie returned to winning ways when Rugby RCC held a 25-mile time-trial on the K10/25A Frankton course.

Hastie clocked 57.25 in the club’s first 25-mile event of the season, finishing six seconds clear of David Kiernan in second.

All of the top six finished under the hour with guest Matt Clinton clocking 59.04 on his road bike.

Eliot Blundell continues to show great progress and finished ahead of Craig McKee and David Newton when timing 58.12 for third.

SEVEN riders rode the Beacon CC Open ten-mile time-trial at the weekend.

Hastie timed 22.46 and was joined by Richard Bray in 23.49, Matt Plant 24.3, Dave Kimberley 24.40, Peter Bellfield 25.16 and Victoria Plant 26.11.

Mat Jones, who was delayed at the start with a mechanical problem for two minutes, finished in 27.30 to complete a good set of team performances.
