Hi: 16° Lo:3° 7 day

AFTER a successful first year which resulted in a British College Elite League Cup final appearance, Strachan Football Foundation is recruiting for the 2012/13 season.
Strachan Football Foundation in partnership with Heart of England Training offer a range of sport and sports coaching qualifications.
From Foundation Learning in sport and sports coaching, apprenticeships in sports coaching and advanced apprenticeships in sports development.
There is an assessment day on Saturday, June 2 at Rugby Town Junior Football Club’s, Kilsby Lane site.
The day will involve training and an interview with Strachan Football Foundation staff members. This trial day is open to both boys and girls, while parents are also welcome to attend.
Strachan Football Foundation are very keen to work with 16-year-old school leavers as we can provide the possibility of a two-year programme of education and training.
There is a £100 sign up bonus to any learner starting on Foundation Learning before July 1 and a weekly bursary is available to all new starters which can help with transport costs.
Strachan Football Foundation will continue to play in the British College Elite League on Wednesday afternoons and will also represent Rugby Town under 21’s on a Saturday.
Coaching will be provided on a daily basis by SFF head coach George Mackie who holds the UEFA Pro Licence as well as former Coventry and Republic of Ireland international Gary Breen.
