LEWIS Hill’s unbeaten century helped Lutterworth to a Leicestershire League Premier Division winning draw at Ashby Hastings on Saturday.
Hill finished on 104no (122 balls, three fours, three sixes) and provided the backbone of the Lutterworth innings throughout as they reached 204-9 from their 50 overs after being put in.
The total was boosted by 32 extras whilst opener Oli Pickering made 20.
Tyler Lortan (3-50) did the main damage with the ball for the home side, receiving good support from James Neal (2-27) and Richard Lewis (2-36).
Sam Green was the star performer with the ball for Lutterworth, taking 3-25, but despite picking up wickets at regular intervals, the visitors were unable to force the victory.
Tom Yates’ 31 and a stubborn unbeaten 20 from Simon Moore ensured the hosts held on for a draw at 124-7 from 46 overs.
Warren Evans (1-17), Nathan Welham (1-13), Alec Hill (1-19) and Lewis Hill (1-6) took the other wickets to fall.
Lutterworth will aim to build on their victory when hosting Syston Town on Saturday.
