Triumphant Hastie sets new best

By Jamie Arrowsmith 17/04 Updated: 24/04 16:28

TIM Hastie set a new personal best when winning Rugby RCC's time-trial on the K10/10 Princethorpe course last Wednesday.

Hastie finished in 21-54 to finish just ahead of David Kiernan (21-57) and Craig McKee (22-42) who completed the top three. Another good ride by Matt Jones saw him win the handicap competition.

Clearly many riders are still at that early season stage as less than a third of the entry beat the 20-minute handicap target on what is an acknowledged fast course.

Full results: Tim Hastie 21-54, David Kiernan 21-57, Craig McKee 22-42, Eliot Blundell 22-45, Peter Wright 22-56, Matt Jones 23-20, Adrian Tayles 23-33, Luke Markham 23-41, David Gillett 24-01, Stuart Hopkins 24-07, Russell Green 24-09, Simon Mitchell 24-16, Matthew Plant 24-40, Craig Middleton 24-47, Martin Orrill 25-01, Mike Smallwood 25-17, David Baxter 25-20, Simon Brand 25 26, Marina Bloom 25-27, Simon Hall 25-31, Peter Timmins 25-47, Simon Bayliss 25-53, Andrew Childs 26-09, Keith Hirons 26-19, Rob Tyler 26-27, Tony Johnson 26-43, David Tyler 26-51, Gary Howes 27-10, Rob Robson 27-10, Patrick Weir 27-31, Dave Pettifor 27-51, Stuart Sykes 28-02, Alan James 28-36, Mike Bloom 28-55, Chris Lodge 28-56, Carlos Garcia 29-56, Paul Peasegood 30-07, Kirstie Nichols 30-15, John Brothers 32-38, Barry Burrows 32-48, Kate Vanloo 33-14, Naomi Leugs 33-19, Jane Needham 33-30.
