TIM Hastie's excellent run of form continued with a third straight success as Rugby RCC held a ten-mile time-trial on the K10/10 Princethorpe course.
Hastie headed a field of 48 riders and set a new personal best by almost 15 seconds to win in 21-39, finishing almost a minute clear of Eliot Blundell (22-37) in second.
The conditions were not perfect after a day of continuous rain but they did improve slightly in the early evening before worsening again to leave the later numbers affected.
Gary Howes won the handicap, with Matt Jones slipping to seventh place, but the handicap is all about improvement which is why Hastie, with two massive PBs in succession, came fourth in the handicap and is now in second behind Matt Jones in the points table.
