COMEDIES from the bard and Coward and a British classic are on Heartbreak Productions' menu this summer.

The outdoor theatre specialists will be presenting Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing,. Noel Coward's Private Lives and an adaptation of EH Nesbitt's novel The Railway Children.

In Much Ado the war is over, but not between Benedick and Beatrice as infidelity, deception and mistaken identity challenge the lovers amid a flurry of 1940s Air Force uniforms. It can be seen in Leamington's Jephson Gardens on June 5 and 6, Charlecote Park on June 23, and at Hill Close Gardens on July 18.

In Private Lives, set in the 1930s, the cocktails are flowing, but will it be a Smooth Move or Whisky Sour for Elyot and Amanda? It plays at Jephson gardens on June 13 and 14.

Separated from their father and relocated to Yorkshire, Bobbie, Phyllis and Peter set about creating a new life for themselves in The Railway Children. It can be seen at Jephson Gardens on June 27 and 28, and at Charlecote Park on July 22.
