University chips in with financial boost for Lauren

TEENAGE golfing sensation Lauren Taylor has been boosted by a grant from Coventry University.

Current BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year Taylor, from Rugby, was presented with £600 by former Coventry City star David Busst from funds raised at the Coventry and Warwickshire Sports Awards, organised by the university.

The awards are organised by six partners including Coventry University, BBC Coventry and Warwickshire, Coventry City Council, CSW Sport, Nuneaton and Bedworth Leisure Trust and Coventry PE and School Sport.

Nominations for this years awards can be made online May 1 at www.cswsportsawards.com.
