RUGBY Canoe Club's Kimberley Woods was in top form when competing at the Premier Division and Great Britain Junior team selection race at Holme Pierrpont in Nottingham at the weekend.

Woods finished first in the Women Canoe Singles (C1W) class, gaining maximum points in the Premier Division event and in the first round of the junior team section event.

In the Women’s Kayak (K1W) class she came fourth and first junior 18, an excellent result as most of the GB senior and u23 team were also racing. The result gave her maximum points in the first round of the GB junior team selection race series.

Woods now goes forward in a strong position with maximum points in both canoe classes to the next round in the Great Britain junior selection series and premier Division Race Three, held at the new white water course in Cardiff at the weekend.
