LUTTERWORTH Athletic maintained their push for promotion from Leicestershire Senior League Premier Division with a convincing 4-1 victory at Ashby Ivanhoe.
Athletic dominated proceedings for most of the game with some fluent, passing football.
The influential Billy Hayes opened the scoring when chasing down a lost cause to clinically finish from ten-yards.
With the Ivanhoe defence proving resolute, the odd goal was all Athletic had to show for their first half domination.
Tony Brown finished off a well worked move to make it 2-0 at the start of the second half before Matt Rains doubled the advantage.
Ashby pulled one back from the penalty spot but Athletic had the final say Brown completed his brace with ten minutes left.
Athletic are without a game on Saturday but return to action on March 31 when they entertain Stapenhill at Hall Park before tackling Ibstock in the County Cup semi-final at Holmes Park on April 3 (7.45pm).
