LUTTERWORTH Athletic returned to winning ways with a 4-0 Leicestershire Senior League Premier Division victory against Saffron Dynamo on Saturday.
With a new look attack, defender Tony Brown led the front three and completed an accomplished performance with a hat-trick. Athletic’s other goal came from Dominic Ivens who caused problems all afternoon.
EARLIER in the week the u18s produced a fine performance win the County Cup final with a 7-3 victory against Aylestone Park.
THE Ladies secured their place in the semi-finals of the County Cup with a comprehensive victory over Loughborough Foxes.
Unbeaten Lutterworth started strongly and went ahead in the 15th minute through Helen Busby’s header.
Neely Simons volleyed home a second from 20-yards five minutes later before Busby added a third before the interval.
Lutterworth started off strongly again in the second half and extended their lead through Esha Ramesh and Busby made it five.
Ramesh completed the scoring five minutes before full time and Lutterworth will now look forward to a last four clash against Leicester City Women.
