INSPIRATIONAL Rugby musician Matt Parsons' new band are getting ready for their launch gig at Bar Verve on Friday March 2.
Three piece alternative rock outfit The Atillas feature singer-songwriters Matt and Tom Ewer sharing vocals, guitar and drums, and bassist Attila Mikola.
The trio have spent over a year writing music and the last six months rehearsing in preparation for their debut gig.
Matt, who suffers from a rare disorder leaving him with no feeling in his left arm, said: "What makes us slightly different is that we rotate the band. The main songwriters are me and Tom and we will switch between lead vocals and guitar, and the drums.
"We have a lot of energy and fun with our music and we have a great bunch of songs to get everyone singing along. It's a free gig and we hope to start our musical venture with a blast."
Matt, a mentor for the British Inspiration Trust which helps disabled youngsters overcome adversity, released an album of solo material in 2009.
The gig gets underway at 9am at the North Street bar.
