A 13-year-old boy was arrested after a burglary at a family home in Overslade.

It came after an opportunist thief entered a house on Saunton Road yesterday (Wednesday) after a member of the family came home and went upstairs during the afternoon but left the front door unlocked.

When they came downstairs they found an intruder in the house who then left quickly. An iPad was later found to be missing.

Police later arrested a 13-year-old on suspicion of burglary before releasing him on bail.
