POLICE have charged a man with wounding after a stabbing in Long Lawford last week.
Michael Ian Emery, of Holbrook Road, was arrested and later charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm in connection with the stabbing just after 1am last Wednesday (February 15) in the village.
Paramedics treated a 31-year-old man for a stab wound to his chest. He was rushed to Coventry's University Hospital and was found to have suffered a punctured lung.
The victim is now in a stable condition, according to a Warwickshire Police spokeswoman.
Emery has been remanded in custody and will appear before Warwick Crown Court in May.
