By Dan Santy 06/01 Updated: 12/01 08:59

A MAN driving a lorry was killed after crashing into stationary lorries parked in a layby early this morning (Friday).

The 47-year-old, from Ammanford in Wales, died at the scene of the smash on the A5 between Kilsby and the DIRFT site.

He was travelling south along the road when he crashed into lorries parked in a layby.

Highways Agency staff have been working throughout the night to clear a massive diesel spillage caused by the crash.

Police were forced to shut the road throughout the morning as a result.
